Thanks for visiting my site. I am currently studying at Birkbeck University in London, in the evenings after work and at weekends. In 2015, I successfully completed a modular based Foundation Degree program, with a focus on web technologies, resulting in me being awarded a Distinction. So far I have learnt about:
I aim to continue my studies, and secure a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
My hope is that as I develop my skills, this site will act as a place to showcase my new-found knowledge.
Visit Logger was born from the necessity of the client to record and report on the breadth of intervention work, carried out on behalf of its constituent schools, with children at risk of exclusion.
Praised for its simplicity of use: Visit Logger enabled staff to rapidly record their casework for the schools that they supported.
Feedback for users was in the form of HTML email reports, delivered automatically, using Cron Jobs.
A management data-dashboard, with AJAX powered jQuery graphs, enabled managers to scrutinise the workload of front-line staff during 1-to-1's, and to accurately report back to Headteachers, raising the profile of the service.
One of the final projects of my Foundation Degree at Birkbeck University. The app queried JSON files based on user input, returning a widgetised list of matching properties, complete with jQuery touch-event-driven sliding image gallery, Google Map integration, and favourites list using local storage.
Coming soon.
